The Diamond is the student-run newspaper of the Dordt University community, a bi-weekly publication founded in 1957. We’re committed to telling the story of our campus through community-oriented journalism.
Here’s how our current and former chief editors have advocated for and written about student journalism in the past:
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: The Diamond is by students and for students. And last semester, our student writers, copyeditors, layout editors, and website managers impacted their community with real, legitimate journalism.”
Sam Landstra, Co-Chief Editor, Fall 2020 – Spring 2022
“A good journalist is never complacent and always learning—about the world, about people, and about themselves.”
Emma Stolzfus , Co-Chief Editor, Fall 2019 – Spring 2021
If you’re an expert on a topic we’ve discussed, share your insights. If you disagree with an article, let us know your perspective… We are happy to present the Diamond as a platform for respectful and insightful public discourse
